The Whole Kitchen family finally visited our partner FairFarms pepper farm in Cambodia. We enjoyed an amazing tour of the farm and learnt so much about pepper farming. The use of organic techniques, utilising natural materials like drying the bark from the wooden posts to trail the vines, ways to manage the rain and dry seasons and how to keep those pests away naturally.
In 2010, Cambodia’s Kampot Province was certified appellation of origin for its peppercorns. A region which is now protected for organic traditional farming practices and employing many local people.
Currently, Kampot Pepper is featured in our light healthy snack, Pepper Pepitas. A versatile ingredient that can be used simply with fresh lime and salt just like the locals do in Kep.
